on Travel after Myanmar trip May 1-21, 2012

The first commandment for every good explorer is:
An expedition has two points, the point of departure and the point of arrival.
If your intention is to make the second theoretical point conincide with the actual point of arrival, don't think about the means - because the journey is a virtual space that finishes when it finishes, and there are as many means as there are different ways of "finishing".
That is to say, the means are endless.

Who you want to be

People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may acuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
